One of the common themes we’ve encountered in the readings on the “print revolution” has been that the advent of print and the spread of information and knowledge transformed societies in fundamental ways.

With reference to at least one of the readings from “The Print Revolution” section of Communication and History and the Late Age of Print, how has print evolved in the digital age? Does it serve a similar fundamental purpose as it did in the historical past? Has the “digital revolution” transformed print in a way that it now serves an entirely different function?
